The early beginnings

1953

The roots of the company lie with Goeyvaerts Gebroeders BVBA, founded in 1953 by the late brothers Jos and Staf Goeyvaerts, who mainly operated around the inland waters of Antwerp and Brussels.

The leap forward

2006

With the establishment of Goeyvaerts-R BV by Rudi Goeyvaerts in 2006, the goal was to establish a presence in the port of Antwerp as well. The early years were not easy. We started with a small team and two cranes, making the most of the resources we had.

Today

Goeyvaerts R (also known as GPORTS) has become a fully reliable port partner in crane operations, rental of port cranes in various ports, and onsite stevedoring services, all while respecting all applicable laws and regulations.

Standing still is moving backward

Future

The next generation is ready, with Kevin Goeyvaerts recently taking over the CEO title from his father, Rudi. Over the years, he has worked alongside his father, experiencing all aspects of the business, and together with the entire team, he is highly motivated to continue writing the company's story.

We will steadily expand our customer base, including into France. Additionally, our technical department will further expand, offering services to port cranes that are not ours.
